Finally sober, Hank wants more than anything to have a hit country song, but he’s never succeeded at much of anything in his life. Then Jesus shows up. Hank takes him home to be with his family for Christmas – something Hank hasn’t done in years. It’s a revelation all the way around.

Karen, a successful attorney, is approaching 40 and has yet to have a meaningful, long-term relationship with a man. Her best friend, Barbara, accuses her of sabotaging relationships, which Karen denies. Barbara proposes a bet, with some serious money on the line: Karen has one year to prove that Barbara is wrong; in fact, Barbara will even help Karen succeed. Internet dating, speed dating and even a professional matchmaker fail to land Karen her Perfect Man. Finally, Karen makes her peace with being single and resolves to focus her energies on her clients’ needs – and making partner in her law firm. Completely by chance, Karen meets up with an old boyfriend at Barb’s home – one she’s never forgotten completely. And he hasn’t forgotten her, either.
